An exquisite old building of the Japanese Train Company, it is listed as a heritage site and has been transformed to a museum to display the sock industry history, machinery, and documents to show the glory of Shetou’s sock industry.
Loho Sock Museum, the first one of its kind, is designed for families. Beautifully painted walls, sand pits, classrooms, and a spacious hall displaying award-winning socks welcome the tourists. You can even make dolls with socks. It is a perfect place for family outings.
The Salt Trail, also known as the 18-Turn Trail, links Changhua and Nantou and is located at the end of the road to Qingshuiyan Recreation Area. This cobblestone trail winds through the woods. The trail from the parking lot at Qingshuiyan Temple takes you to Mingjian, Nantou.
Shaped as a Hercules beetle, Qingshuiyan Ecological Exhibition Center is next to the Qingshuiyan Temple and houses thousands of insect samples. Promoting both eco-conservation and tourism, Qingshuiyan Ecology and Culture Association offers package tours to visit this heritage site. You can also make your own steamed buns and pick your own fruit.
Qingshuiyan Temple, built in 1728, is now a heritage site. Located at Qingshui Village, Shetou Township, this temple worships Sakyamuni Buddha and Avalokitesvara. With a pond and pavilion in the front, this temple is an elegant and historic spot, a perfect place to study Buddhism.
Since Changhua County launched the Qingshuiyan hot spring facilities free of charge for the public in 2017, it has become a popular attraction with long lineups. It is open from10 a.m. to 5 p.m. You will find it at the entrance of Qingshuiyan Campsite.
Qingshuiyan Campsite is 12 hectares with lush trees. One of the most popular campsites, it is a training base for boy scouts, a holiday retreat for students, and a barbecue paradise.

Located in a Japanese style old house in an alley, Shinhochun Soy Sauce Company has been family-run for 4 generations since 1916. The factory is full of history and is one of only a few producing soy sauce with black soy and salt. This dry fermentation technique is well-preserved by this company. The fragrance of their soy sauce has been well kept for a century.
