Guidelines for carrying folding bikes on the bus:
Due to limited space on minibuses, no folding bikes allowed on the bus.

Concession tickets guidelines:
1. All day return tickets are offered at discount prices already. Apologize for no further discount.

Guidelines for carrying pets on the bus:
1. Passengers should carry their pets in cages, baskets, or nets. Each passenger is allowed to carry one pet, not exceeding the dimensions of 27cm3 (average length of 30cm on each side).
2. When carry pets, passengers should place them beside and take good care of them. They are not allowed to put on seats, luggage racks, or aisle. The cages, baskets, or nets carrying the pets should be closed or fastened tightly and wrapped up with waterproof cloth for hygiene reasons. If any passengers violate the rules and refuse to cooperate with the staff, they may be forced to leave the vehicle. The tickets will be suspended.
3. If passengers are bringing their pets along and they occupy the seats, they will have to buy half tickets for them.
4. Guide dogs for seeing impaired people are exempted.
5. No birds are allowed on the bus to prevent bird flu.

Cross-sea Bridge

  Cross-sea Bridge mainly connects Baisha and Xiyu township of Penghu, providing convenient transportation between major Penghu islands. Being the major transportation route of Penghu, once it was called the First Cross-sea Bridge in the Far East.

Siaoman Geological Park

  Siaoman Geological Park is one of the Potential World Heritage Sites in Taiwan, with the famous destinations of Whale Cave, Sea Stacks, the landscapes of onion-skin weathering, and more. In addition, the Vegetable House and Stone Tower are also great scenes.
  The exhibitions in Siaoman Geological Park are designed with the idea of demonstrating the landscapes of Penghu and the unique features of Siaomen. Divided into 5 theme zones, they are wonderful and educational.

Whale Cave

  Whale Cave is a marine arch formed by seawater erosion. The sea stacks beside it were also marine arches. As the top collapsed, they have become sea stacks.

Erkan Ancient Residences

  In Erkan, the ancestors built houses with found materials – coral stones and basalts. Later, it grew into a settlement of a single surname (Chen). In 2001, it was listed as the first traditional settlement preservation area. In recent years, the refurbished old houses are handed over to “Erkan Ancient Settlement Association,” which makes the best use of them. With its endeavors, the ancient settlement has been transformed into many small scale exhibition rooms with strong local features and culture. There are: People’s Everyday Life Gallery, Community Gallery, Chinese Medicine Gallery, Toys Gallery, Praise Song Gallery, and more.

Daguoye Basalt Columns

  Under Japanese rule, a pier was built at the seaside of Daguoye to facilitate transportation between Magong and Xiyu. When people dug for stones and mud there, unexpectedly, they discovered that there were awesome basalt columns by the side of the small road. It is the best place to take a closer look of basalt columns in Penghu.

Xiyu West Fort

  In 1870s, after the Sino-French War, peace treaty was signed. The Qing Court appointed Liu Ming-Chuan as the Governor of Taiwan, where he was responsible for the defense. He chose ten locations for building forts. Xiyu West Fort was the biggest among them as well as the largest and is now the most complete historic fort in Penghu. Occupying a space of 8 hectares, the fort is surrounded by tall walls. Inside the walls, the fort was built up with stones. With four cannons, the H shape tunnel at the foot of the forts remains intact. Grand and magnificent, it can accommodate a few thousand soldiers.
At the entrance of the fort, a inscription is hung on the top of the gate. On the board, there are the characters: “Xiyu Sitai” (Xiyu West Fort), which were written by Liu Ming-Chuan himself.

Yuwongdao Lighthouse

  The Lighthouse was built in 1778. Originally, it was a stone tower with seven-flights of stairs. On the top of the tower, a light was lit every night to guide the ships sailing near Taiwan’s coast. Now, it is a western style lighthouse rebuilt in 1875. Built with iron, it is round in shape. Equipped with 3 fog cannons, they were used to alarm ships traveling in heavy mist. The quarters affiliated to it was built in quasi-European style. All the architectures, including the lighthouse and walls are painted in white now. It is an ideal place to watching the sunset on Xiyu and has a distant view of Taiwan Strait.

Waian Fake Cannon

  During WWII, the Japanese army built this fake cannon with cement on the platforms at Waian village of Xiyu to misguide the American army. The cannon was formed by octagonal bases and twin barrels. Huge in size, ditches were built to connect with other facilities. Fake cannon was rare and special military installation, witnessing not only WWII but also the strategic importance of the location.

Tongliang Great Banyan

  The Tongliang Great Banyan stands in front of Baoan Temple, Tongliang Village, and is more than 300 years old. It is the biggest and oldest banyan tree in Penghu, with near one hundred branches and aerial roots that make a natural shade. It is a rare banyan tree in Penghu.

Penghu Living Museum

  Penghu Living Museum carries the traces of everyday life of the native in Penghu, their identity of daily life, and the imagination of the future. It is also a modern urban museum with the functions of education, culture, sightseeing, leisure, and forum.
Closed on Thursdays.Passengers can visit Confucius Temple & Penghu Marine Geopark Center.

Confucius Temple

  Built in 1766, it has hundreds of years' history. It was the location of Wenshi College in the Qing Dynasty, being the only school in Penghu then. As it was built with wen-shi (veined stone) it was called likewise.
Closed on Mondays and the next day of national holidays.

Penghu Marine Geopark Center

  It mainly exhibits the diverse basalt landscapes, culture, and art of Penghu. The multimedia room plays the video of the introduction of tourist attractions.

Sightseeing in Magong downtown

  Magong downtown center around Zhongzheng Road. There is the earliest Jhongyang Street of Penghu, the earliest Mazu Temple in Taiwan, Qing Magong Castle Gate-Shuncheng Gate, the Old Castle Wall, the Old Post Office, Wanjun Well, Four-Eyed Well, and more. As to Guanyinting Recreation Area , it is the best place to see the sunset during the Firework Festival each year. And the “International Charming Attraction—Magong Cultural Center” centers around Duxing 10th Village, which was an ex-military dependent’s quarters. There are also other sights, such as Pan An-Bang’s House, Chang Yu-sheng Memorial Museum, and the Information Service Station that shows the sightseeing maps of all the resorts, featured architecture, historic and nostalgic photos, and more. Of course, if you want to buy Penghu souvenirs, black sugar cakes, salty crackers, preserved dry squid, peanut pastries, and more, you can find almost everything here!

Duxing 10th Village

  Duxing 10th Village is one of the antique military dependents' village in Taiwan.
  Not only for the unique building make the independent villages memorable but also the famous folk singers make this place famous. Folk singers such as Pan, An-Bang and Zhang, Yu-Sheng were all raised in this villages in their childhood. And their former residences had now become the art gallery and the memorial hall for people to know the local culture development.

Penghu Reclamation Hall

  Penghu Reclamation Hall is the museum where collecting many histories (politics and local culture) in Penghu. The architecture of Penghu Reclamation Hall combines Japanese and Western styles by using Penghu local building materials. The constructing techniques of the enter hall and the reception area (western style) and the tea area (restaurant) used with the reinforced concrete western technique to build up. The roof, Japanese living room, bedrooms were constructed with Japanese design. The wall outside of the entrance was built with Penghu Bassalt cliff.

Penghu Mazu Temple

  Located at Magong city, Zhong Yang village, Tianhou Temple is one of the historical Mazu temples in Taiwan.
It is said the temple was built in Song or Yuan dynasty while business men or fishermen stop by at Penghu and they built the Mazu temple at the seashore.
  Historical data indicated that in 1604, general Shen, You-Rong had fought off Netherlands’s army and the stone had been kept in Tianhou Temple until now and this is the evidence of the history.
