He started learning the craft of hand puppetry at the age of 15 as an apprentice. After he became proficient, he founded “Wu Chou Yuan”, which produced numerous highly popular hand puppet shows. In particular, his unique hand puppet figure “Scholar Swordsman: Shi Yan-wen” is well known throughout Taiwan.

Found in the Qing Dynasty, Yuanshun has been operating for generations. It has the history of about 100 year at Tuku. It is the first mill and noodle factory there. In 1967, it began to manufacture cooking oil. Visitors are welcome to try packing sesame and grinding sesame powder in the factory to enjoy DIY fun.
