Taiwan Indigenous Culture Park in located Fugu Bay at south bank of Ailiao River, on the junction of Beiye Village, Majia Township and Sandimen Township. Beautiful and diverse, there is no modern architecture within 200 hectares in the radius. It is a high recommended resort.
The park occupies the land of 82.65 hectares, exhibiting the cultures of nine major indigenous tribes. The architectures and culture of these nine tribes are exhibited in accordance with their original configurations and features, and conditions of their settlements, including the following tribes: Atayal, Saisiyat, Ami, Puyuma, Yami, Cao, Bunun, Paiwan, and Rukai. The habitats of these tribe are cloned or moved from the mountains to the park to demonstrate their diverse culture. In addition, their tribal relationship, the formation of their tribal habitats, and their geographical distributions are also introduced.
In the Nine Tribes Lifestyles Display Room, wax statuse+E9s are made to simulate the conditions of everyday life. In addition, multimedia presentations are released at regular hours to allow visitors learn more about different facets of their lives and cultures. In the Relics Display Room, the traditional relics of the high mountain tribe are exhibited in a lively and faithful manner in the categories of food, clothing, habitats, transportation, education, and recreation. In the Special Exhibition Room, the collections donated or loaned by private collectors are displayed. In the Craft Room, we can learn more about the skills and process of making these craft, such as weaving, beads making, embroidery, basket weaving, and net weaving, are demonstrated.
