★one day pass NT$150 1. 1-Day pass: NT$150, you can take Nanzhuang Route, Xiantiang Lake Route, and Xianshan Route. Unlimited rides on the same day of ticket purchase. 2. With a ticket of Taiwan Tourist Shuttle operated by Miaoli Bus, holders can have a free ride on another day, with the stamp of legal guest houses or hotels in Miaoli.★We accept: easy card, ipass/Pay by cash on the bus, fare of one way ticket will be charged at exact mileage. 1. Full ticket: Nanzhuang NT$84. Please prepare exact change. No change available on the bus. 2. Half ticket: aged 65 or above, disabled, elementary school children.3. Guidelines for carrying folding bikes on the bus:
1. Carrying folding bikes on the bus is allowed.
2. Please observe the following rules when carrying folding bikes:
(1) You should put the folding bike in a bike bag.
(2)Put it in the luggage compartment for free.
(3)When putting your folding bike on a seat, you need to pay half fare for it.

Concession tickets guidelines:
1. There are full tickets and half tickets. All day return tickets are offered at discount prices already. Apologize for no further discount.
2. Half tickets are available to:
(1) Senior citizens at the age of 65 or above, with ROC ID cards or Senior Citizen Cards
(2) Holders of Disabled Cards. Must ride with a guardian or a partner.
(3) Children below 12 years old at height of 115cm and below 145cm can purchase half tickets with valid IDs.
3. Free:
Children at the height of 115cm or below or children below 6 years old but at the height above 115cm are allowed to ride on the buses free with valid IDs. They are allowed to occupy seats. But they must be accompanied by adults with valid tickets. Each adults with valid ticket are allowed to take two children that are eligible to ride on the buses free. All children exceeding the requirements must purchase half tickets.

Guidelines for carrying pets on the bus:
1. You need to pay half fare for each pet carried on the bus. But they should not take any seat.
2. Passengers refusing to cooperate with the staffs’ advice, in case of the following, may be refused to ride on the bus. The unused tickets can be refunded in full:
(1) Suffering from serious diseases.
(2) Not carried in cages, baskets, or nets.
(3) Unclean or prone to damage other people and things.
(4) Harmful to public hygiene and other passengers; aggressive and dangerous animals.
(5) Not suitable to be carried on buses.
3. Passengers should carry their pets in cages, baskets, or nets. Each passenger is allowed to carry one pet, not exceeding the dimensions of 27cm3 (average length of 30cm on each side).
4. When carry pets, passengers should place them beside and take good care of them. They are not allowed to put on seats, luggage racks, or aisle. The cages, baskets, or nets carrying the pets should be closed or fastened tightly and wrapped up with waterproof cloth for hygiene reasons. If any passengers violate the rules and refuse to cooperate with the staff, they may be forced to leave the vehicle. The tickets will be suspended.
5. Guide dogs must be allowed on the buses to safeguard the rights of the people with visual impairment. All guide dogs can ride on the buses for free. As most guide dogs are huge, they are suggested to sit by the doors.

Nanzhuang Route This play

Nanzhuang is located at the major sightseeing spots in Miaoli County. In early times, the flourishing mining and lumbering industries brought prosperity to Nanzhuang. It is the home to Hakka and Saist people. Visiting Nanzhuang, you can visit the 100-year old post office, which one of the few Japanese style wooden buildings left in Taiwan. You can also visit the Washing Clothes Pit at the end of Osmanthus Alley. Now people still gather to do their laundry and chat about things happening in daily life there. In front of the old post office, there is a down-slope path, called Naimuqi, which was built during the Japanese rule. Named after General Namugi It was built to commemorate him for donating money to repair the roads there.
Pay a visit to this Hakka town with an easy heart to learn more about their folklore and culture, watch the Japanese style wooden architecture, and reminiscence of the past glory of Nanzhuang.

Nanzthuang Old Street

  Nanzhuang Old Street have unique historic style shops and Hakka food inside the alleys which made it quite popular in Taiwan. Guihua Alley has all the delicious food such as osmanthus sticky rice balls, Hakka noodle and snacks. At the end of the old street there is an interesting place called The Washing Pit (Shui Bien Tou or Si Shan Ken) where in the past Nanzhuang women used to do laundry, wash dishes, slaughter chickens or ducks and even talk gossip here.

Nanzhuang Visitor Center

  People from all regions visit the famous Nanjhuang Cottage for its lodging, the farmers market, restaurants, coffee shops and unique lifestyle, where one can appreciate the great scenery and culture. 

Nanzhuang Post Office

  Nanjhuang Post Office was built in Japanese occupation period (12 years before Republic Era). In Japanese occupation period, it was called Nanjhuang Yu Pien Chu and had been renamed as Nanjhuang Post Office in 1949. This post office is well preserved with Japanese building style and become a tourist attraction in Nanjhuang.

Lion's Head Mountain Quanhua Temple

  Lion Head Mountain (獅頭山) is a famous mountain of Buddhism in Taiwan. Quanhua Hall (勸化堂) is not only the temple of Lion Head Mountain that has the richest resources, but also one of the opening temples. The main body of Quanhua Hall is built leaning the mountains, making full use of the existing caves to inlay partial buildings into the cliffs. It therefore presents a grand scale and view. Decorations like stone carvings, wood carvings and paintings add more grandeur to the hall. Ziyang Gate (紫陽門) serves as the most important relic for the hall, which is also the unavoidable path to climb the mountain. The roof is in the structure of hip roof independent archway. Inside it enshrines Lord Guanyu, Confucius, and Avalokitesvara, with year-long incense encircling.

Kangji Suspension Bridge

  “Kangji Suspension Bridge” (康濟橋), built in 1953 with a length of 58m and width of 4m, serves as an important thoroughfare for forestry and mining industry in Donghe (東河), Penglai (蓬萊) and Nanjing (南江) areas. Later in 1959 it was destroyed by flood, and hence Nanzhuang Bridge was built to replace it. Then on June 22nd, 1998, Kangji Suspension Bridge was built in parallel to Nanjing Bridge. On December 23rd of the same year, it was completed. It is 154m in length, and 1.5m in width, connecting Nanzhuang Old Street (南莊老街) and Nanjiang Old Street (南江老街). Walking on the bridge, you can see the mountain city sights and river landscape, hence becoming one of the famous scenic spots of Nanzhuang (南莊).

Tongjing Forest Trail

  The main entrance of the walkway is located at the farm village of Tongjing (銅鏡村), where you can see the welcome of statues of lovely praying mantis, dragonflies, butterflies. Following the signs, you will see not only enchanting and refreshing water scenery but also wave of Dalonggang Lake (大龍崗湖). Especially at the season of Tung tree flowering, the elegant white will make you enchanted. The slope is moderate with a length of 1.5km. Along the way, there are viewing platforms, pavilions, and seats for tourists, so it is suitable for families.

Toufen Garden

  At the Laoqi (老崎) red soil hill to the northeast of Toufen City (頭份市), there is hidden an undeveloped virgin land. Here, there are tea gardens, shady maples and singing pines as well as lovesick lanes and rest walkways combined with natural beauty, not to mention the bird and cicada chirping mixed with natural music.
  In summer, the Tung tree flowers will cover the ground like white snow. With rotation of seasons, yellow flowers, pomelo flowers and pear flowers will come onto stage one after another; accompanied by the visiting steps of tourists, the riot and charm plus the enchanting fragrance will shock the tourists. This isolated land is called by us, “Backyard Garden of Toufen” (頭份後花園).
