Guidelines for carrying folding bikes on the bus:
1.Due to limited space on minibuses, no folding bikes allowed on the bus.
2.Big buses are running during weekends and national holidays, you are allowed to carry folding bikes on the bus. Please enquire at the counter for the schedule for big buses
Minibuses are running on mountain roads, you are not allowed to carry a folding bike on the bus
3.Big buses Please observe the following rules when carrying folding bikes:
(1)You should put the folding bike in a bike bag.
(2) Put it in the luggage compartment for free
(3)When putting your folding bike on a seat, you need to pay half fare for it.

Concession tickets guidelines:
1. There are full tickets and half tickets. All day return tickets are offered at discount prices already. Apologize for no further discount.
2. Half tickets are available to:
(1) Senior citizens at the age of 65 or above, with ROC ID cards or Senior Citizen Cards
(2) Holders of Disabled Cards. Must ride with a guardian or a partner.
(3) Children below 12 years old at height of 115cm and below 145cm can purchase half tickets with valid IDs.
3. Free:
Children at the height of 115cm or below or children below 6 years old but at the height above 115cm are allowed to ride on the buses free with valid IDs. They are allowed to occupy seats. But they must be accompanied by adults with valid tickets. Each adults with valid ticket are allowed to take two children that are eligible to ride on the buses free. All children exceeding the requirements must purchase half tickets

Guidelines for carrying pets on the bus:
1. You need to pay half fare for each pet carried on the bus. But they should not take any seat.
2. Passengers refusing to cooperate with the staffs’ advice, in case of the following, may be refused to ride on the bus. The unused tickets can be refunded in full:
(1) Suffering from serious diseases.
(2) Not carried in cages, baskets, or nets.
(3) Unclean or prone to damage other people and things.
(4) Harmful to public hygiene and other passengers; aggressive and dangerous animals.
(5) Not suitable to be carried on buses.
3. Passengers should carry their pets in cages, baskets, or nets. Each passenger is allowed to carry one pet, not exceeding the dimensions of 27cm3 (average length of 30cm on each side).
4. When carry pets, passengers should place them beside and take good care of them. They are not allowed to put on seats, luggage racks, or aisle. The cages, baskets, or nets carrying the pets should be closed or fastened tightly and wrapped up with waterproof cloth for hygiene reasons. If any passengers violate the rules and refuse to cooperate with the staff, they may be forced to leave the vehicle. The tickets will be suspended.
5. Guide dogs must be allowed on the buses to safeguard the rights of the people with visual impairment. All guide dogs can ride on the buses for free. As most guide dogs are huge, they are suggested to sit by the doors.

You are suggested to depart from THSR Taichung Station or TRA Changhua Station. Along the way, you will arrive at Lukang, a town with 290 years of history in Changhua. Get off at the visitor information center at Lukang south, and go to Longshan Temple and Breast-Touching Lane, a well-preserved architecture built during the Qing Dynasty. When you are tired, get off at Lukang Old Street, and have a glimpse of the traditional religious culture, and taste the gourmet snacks: oyster omelet, mud shrimps, thick noodles soup, and more. After eating, it is nice to take a walk to Yaolin Old Street, where you can visit the public hall, Ai Gate, Half-sided Well, and more. These are the ideal spots of experiencing the charm of Lukang. You can also visit Osmanthus Lane Art Village to appreciate the works of the traditional artisans and artists. Taking a walk in the arts village, you cannot only enjoy a feast of art but also the fragrance of Osmanthus.

Changhua Great Buddha Statue of Bagua Mountain

An impressive statue of the Buddha sits on a hillside park overlooking the small city of Changhua, roughly 18 kilometers southwest of Taichung. Visitors can view the nearby area through the eyes of the 86-foot-high hollow statue.

Tianhou Temple

A long history of天后宮 has over 221 years since build in Taiwan. This is 湄洲媽祖’s only temple for worshiping and the believers are all over Taiwan. On every January to March of lunar year it attracts a huge crowd to come over for pilgrimage. Lukang天后宮’s 湄洲馬祖is not only popular in Taiwan with all its believers, and because of its long history.

Changhua Roundhouse

Changhua Roundhouse is established in 1922 and it is the only one that is left in Taiwan. The housing stores three types of locomotives - steam, diesel and electric. The spreading rail tracks around the roundhouse looks like an open fan which was also name “Fan-Shaped Roundhouse”. After a long journey each train will head back to the garage for regular maintenance and repair which also called “The Hotel of Locomotive”. 

Taiwan Glass Gallery

Taiwan Glass Gallery is established in Changhua Coastal Industrial Park by Taiwan Mirror Glass Enterprise. Inside the gallery there are various kinds of glass artwork, glassware and even industrial glass. While strolling around the exhibit visitor will get to experiences a whole new image of traditional glass industry. 

BRAND’s Health Museum

"Brand’s Essence was originally from the early 19th century. Mr. H. W. Brand was the royal chef in Buckingham Palace and he was the one who cook the chicken soup that recover King George IV’s health. In 1835 Mr. H.W. Brand retired and begin to create his own chicken soup brand which is today’s well known Brand’s Essence.
In November 2003, Brand’s Essences established the museum in Changhua Coastal Industrial Park for its first museum of health. From April to May 2008 Brand’s Essence spent 20 million NTD to renovate all of the equipments in the museum with the most updated technology. After the museum has installed all the latest equipment it will help visitors to easily understand the concept of modern health.
There are 5 main exhibits – History Zone, Brand Name Zone, Health Community, Comprehensive Healthcare Station and Aerial Corridor- Factory Tour. If visitor is interesting in Brand’s history then head to the Film Briefing Room and start enjoy the film with a cup of chicken essence. Another place to check out is Brand Name Zone that includes the breeding process of chicken and how essence was produce. Most interesting place to visit is the Aerial Corridor – Factory Tour which shows visitor the actual manufacturing process of Brand’s essence.

Lukang Old Street

Lukang Town is one of Taiwan’s oldest towns with well-preserved cultural and historical heritages. Lukang Old Street is filled by traditional Taiwanese style houses and it is still in used by the local residents to run business. The locals built roof top to prevent the dust wind that was drawn by the ocean wind, so Lukang Old Street is also known as “The Street with No Sky”. 

Lugang Longshan Temple

Lugang is one of the important historical towns in Taiwan. It is the town for well preserved historical cites, old houses, old temples and fork arts. Longshan Temple is called the Forbidden City in Taiwan. It is the best among the 8 great scenes of Lugang. Longshan Temple in Lugang was originally a small temple in Lugang. Later it was remodeled by local residents to be the current larger scale. The temple was beautifully designed. It is seated facing the west with the back to the east. The layout is square. The main building consists of four strata and three gardens. The format and design are inspired by Longshan Temple in Quanzhou (Chuanchow) of Taiwan. In the old days, there were 99 doors. The carving is magnificent in terms of the structure and the ornament. There is fine colorful painting. It has the reputation of being the Treasure of Chinese Architectural Art. The buildings are worthy of detailed observation. At the front gate, there is a pair of dragon poles made of granite. There are the ascending dragon and the descending dragon corresponding to each other. The design is simple and powerful and they are excellent art works. At the end of front hall, there is a theater stage for traditional plays at festivals. There is an octagon well within the theater stage. Its colorful painting and the good technique reflect superb art works. In the past, the houses around Longshan Temple could not be higher than the temple. The buildings in Longshan Temple are getting higher and higher. It means ascending. There are many historical artifacts in the temple. For an example, there is an old bell from Ching Dynasty. It was made in Ninpo of Chekiang Province in China. It is the largest bronze bell in Taiwan. There is also a Guanshiyin Budda made of copper. The complexity of Longshan Temple in Lugang is amazing and the buildings in the temple are marvelous and rarely seen in Taiwan.
